RATS TO THE RESCUE
Rats could soon be giving rescue dogs some serious competition in
the race to find trapped people. The rodents have an exquisitely
sensitive sense of smell and can crawl just about anywhere – making
them the perfect candidates for sniffing out earthquake survivors
buried in wreckage.
Researchers have now equipped the animals with
radios that transmit their brain waves, and have taught then to seek
